Macarons and My Stitching Corner

At this moment I'm into stitching monogrames.I love doing them and they make stylish little presents.This week I finished the letter " E ",stitched with Gloriana's Marc's April Mai, on 32 ct Antique White Belfast.... It's going to be a lavender sachet and for the backside I will use a piece of fabric I bought in Paris.It is printed with delicious macarons, in almost the same colour as the used threads...

As most of you probably know or have noticed I love sweets and biscuits..So when I  found this fabric I had to buy it.. ( it was mouth watering ..) I think the best macarons are probably made by the world famous  Ladurée in Paris..

Then last Friday my friend Marcelle surprised me with an original DMC Thread-box.It had been in her attic for years and as Marcelle is a very talented card maker ( she recently started her weblog ) and doesn't have time to stitch she thought I might like it...

So a new-old piece of furniture is freshening  up my stitching corner..I'm very pleased with it...Thank you Marcelle...

Momenteel ben ik erg  fan van monogrammen borduren.Ik vind het leuk om ze te maken en je kunt er stijlvolle kadootjes van maken.Deze week was het de letter " E " die afkwam, geborduurd met Gloriana's Marc's April Mai op 12 draads Antiek Wit Belfast.Ik denk dat ik er een lavendel geurzakje van ga maken.Voor de achterkant heb ik een schattig stofje dat ik in Parijs heb gekocht.Het is bedrukt met heerlijke macarons in bijna dezelfde kleur als  het gebruikte garen.Zoals  jullie misschien wel weten ben ik gek op snoepjes en koekjes dus toen ik  dit stofje zag op de beurs moest ik het gewoon kopen (ik liep er gewoon bij te watertanden..) Ik denk dat de beste macarons wel gemaakt worden bij de wereldberoemde firma Ladurée in Parijs...

En toen afgelopen vrijdag verraste mijn vriendin Marcelle me met een origineel DMC garenkastje.Het stond al jaren bij haar op zolder en aangezien ze zelf een zeer getalenteerd kaartenmaakster is ( ze heeft sinds kort haar eigen weblog ) en ze daardoor zelf niet veel meer borduurt dacht ze dat ze mij er wel blij mee kon maken...en blij was ik..Het staat te pronken in mijn borduur hoekje.....Ontzettend bedankt Marsha.......
